Our Benten was one in a litter of four that was born on February 16, 2002. Unfortunately, we lost her parents and littermates to a venereal disease brought with them from the rabbitry where we got the parents. It was necessary to medically treat and hand feed little Benten for about six weeks after losing her mother, which built a strong bond between our family and Benten.

Our sweetie at 6 months old

As our little girl grew older, she became our official mascot; her picture is all over our business cards, T-shirts, literature, and, of course, our web site.

She has traveled with us to many different events as our goodwill ambassador to help educate the public about proper rabbit care and to help her friends at the shelter to find good homes.
